Writer, Educator, Scholar
As an adjunct instructor at two reputable universities, I have over four years of experience in teaching and facilitating various courses in writing, literature, and creative writing. I am also a PhD candidate in English, General Literature and Rhetoric at Binghamton University, where I conduct original research on creative writing, neuroaesthetics, Gothic and contemporary American fiction, narrative theory, and ecocriticism.
My teaching philosophy is based on a process-oriented approach that fosters self-efficacy, curiosity, and discovery among my students. I use a combination of neo-expressive and social-epistemic techniques to help them develop their writing skills, critical thinking, and personal voice. I also design and implement engaging and innovative assignments, workshops, and activities that cater to diverse learning styles and needs. In addition, I am passionate about creative writing and have published several short stories and essays in various literary journals and magazines. I enjoy sharing my expertise and enthusiasm with my students and colleagues, and I strive to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
